I was asking about this £300 lump sum today! Is it £300 in addition to our pre arranged £200 Xmas bonus?

Remember this £300 lump sum only applies if your office is not involved in industrial action, it is not applied individually. So my reading is if 1 member of the union in your unit takes strike action nobody gets it.
My lot have already been warned that the £300 isn't coming their way.

I've already voted yes, but I was trying to pin somebody down at hQ to admit £200 of the £300 we will get anyway as it's the £200 of our Christmas bonus

It WAS part of the pay deal, which has been REJECTED.

The strike breakers will not get £300. Vote yes, strike if need be , the Royal Mail and the CWU will reach an agreement and one thing is that everyone will get any bonus.

If this was true even the worst legal team would tell this would be so hard to impose. It would cause national strikes and public support..

Did we have a national strike in 2008 when new starters were denied entry into the final salary pension scheme? Therefore, would we have a national strike in 2016 if new starters were given inferior T&Cs in other areas (around sick pay, leave, allowances)?

And once part of the workforce has inferior T&Cs, wouldn't that give scope to "harmonise" everyone else's T&Cs?

Nope that wasnt one of the reasons for IA then and they are still denied entry to the scheme now(and the new CSDB scheme as well)

Got mine this morning but its was too late, I already voted YES besides that I saw through the bullshit, I have seen it all before and the previous scams especially the Colleague shares fiasco, delayed revision payments, I'm sorry Moya (if you do read this site, I have also heard you speak on one of your road shows) but there have been far too many broken agreements and promises to count, so much so that me and 120,000 other RM employee are feeling very cynical, we no longer believe, you will not carry us along with your vision for Royal Mail in the future, you will have to do a lot harder than that. the £300 which is rightfully ours in the first place as it is partially made up of Christmas bonus anyway AND the shares are at the moment to me is fantasy money until I do actually see it in my hand and my bank account, I may well plan on not having it in the first place, if I do it will be considered a plus nothing more.

We are already resigned to the possibility of being shafted and instead I have voted YES to the strike and will hold out for a better agreement than the one you have offered which is the one you want to give us not necessarily what we want from you, there are too many strings that only serves to make think that this is a rerun of 2010 with all the cock ups that came with it.
