5 years so far,love the job but its no fun carrying an extra asshole stuck on my back in the d.o.

5 years so far,love the job,but lately its becoming a bit too mutch i dont think ill make retirement.i was down the falklands myself.merchant navy though.

10 years here with just 11 to go if i can but doing more for less is not for me but like meeting people on delivery down here in deepest darkest dorset the support from the public is growing ever stronger this is what keeps me going the fact that you know that someone appreciates what you are doing

Hi there!! Ive done 8 years.. Must say ive enjoyed most of it till recently.. Thats delivery, collections and driving 740s.. At the moment morale is shite.. and atmosphere in D.O. even worse.. Things cant get any worse..Can they???? Can they!!!

21 so far 23 to go!!!! i can only wear slip on shoes nowdays laces could be used for suicide attempt!

27 years - didn't expect to be in RM more than 3-4 years, but got trapped during the 80's recession.
First seven and last seven years were the worst. Things definitely getting worse financially since the Way Forward and the arrival of Leighton and Crozier :lfo :cfo
Was hoping to retire in 4-5 years time, but if those b*****ds get their way with the pensions it could be another 10 years. :d'oh! :sad:

Started with the Royal Mail the Tuesday after easter Monday when I was just 18. I was given a full time contract in Nov 1996. So I am close to 11 & half years empolyed by the RM and Im not even 30...... over a third of my life given to them for what.....????? :d'oh! :sad:

Ive given the core 18years. Been here, done that. If you havent done your10, your still wet behind the ears. So its up2 us veterans to nobble our newbs, exlain wats wat, pull 'em inline through education not intimidation, it'll be there turn one day. Front towards enemy fellas.

I've been in 9 years all on delivery. Did 2 years as a casual so that would be 11 in total.

20 years this Friday! My reward - looks like being another 22 years (instead of 17) until I get what's left of my pension.
I'm a Postman at the Henley Road Delivery Office in Cambridge.
