That's the point you're missing - it ISN'T fine to finish early anymore. Ever since Adam Crozier said: 'we just want our people to work all the hours they are paid', basically accusing us of not having enough work, job and finish has been slowly wiped out.themoog wrote:Ah...so that's why the company is in trouble and we ain't getting our colleague share allowance! Working hard and going home early is fine. Swinging the lead, ambling about, not pulling your weight, moaning that you can't take anymore on, sorting slowly and delivering even slower...and then STILL making half an hour on a busy day, an hour and a half on Tuesdays and almost two hours on a Saturday is basically taking the piss imo.
However much you refuse to believe it, there is a bigger picture to look at here.
RM managers completely missed the point that you get just as much, if not more work done by giving the staff an incentive - but that's how it is and what we now have to deal with. Paid for 8hrs, work 8hrs. No working yourself to death and no foot dragging, just a decent days work.
That's what RM are asking and that's what they get from me now, our line managers also know this isn't the best way to work but they have to follow it as well.
