Another one of those jobs they get working mums doing p/t for minimum wages, and thirty drops all over town is a "piece of"internetguy"]delivering motor parts. my friends been there 6 years, says its a piece of cake and a nice chilled out place to work. 30 drops a day max (on a busy day).........Darren Bent wrote:What the job ?
cake"?
Probably no sick pay and almost certainly no pension?
Have you never wondered why job agencies (even in these harder times) always have vacancies for multi-drop drivers?
Best of luck with that.....you'll need it.

I am now, or will be in a few days although I'm not sure who'd want to employ me at the moment with the continuing head issues
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

Re: who on these boards is seriously looking for a new job..
thanks for your words of encouragement but fti your wrong on most issues. its a full time position, no agency involved at all, 7 quid an hour an tbh, theres not that many companys who do pay full sick pay, that probably explaines why theres always so many people off leaving the rest to cover. I dont even know why I'm explaining this to you anyway....have fun flogging yer pan off...Tman wrote:Another one of those jobs they get working mums doing p/t for minimum wages, and thirty drops all over town is a "piece of"internetguy"]delivering motor parts. my friends been there 6 years, says its a piece of cake and a nice chilled out place to work. 30 drops a day max (on a busy day).........Darren Bent wrote:What the job ?

And how do you think this job will look in 18 months?Tman wrote: Another one of those jobs they get working mums doing p/t for minimum wages, and thirty drops all over town is a "piece of

The pension has gone from final salary to career average to defined contributions in 4 years...the next step is obvious.
Sick pay is no longer paid in the first 12 months of employment....the next step is also obvious.
The "P/T working mums on minimum wage" is the Dutch postal model and we know that this is the company's preferred direction...so that just leaves the "30 drops all over town is a piece of cake" and really Tman you should know better than to get out of your comfort zone and start talking about delivery matters.
Off you pop back to the spanners and swarfega....

Off you pop back to the spanners and swarfega....Swarfega.........now there's a lubricant for which rumours are rife about it's use amongst the engineering section on those lonely night shifts, when they have nothing to do, come to think of it it's probably the day shifts too then.

"Delivery matters.."really Tman you should know better than to get out of your comfort zone and start talking about delivery matters.
Why don't you leave and do it too? Possibly because despite the gloom and doom you forecast, you know this is still a better job than the one the OP's off to?
Really Fish you should know better than to etc etc.....Swarfega's use was discontinued years ago in RM. Silly old Fish..Off you pop back to the spanners and swarfega...

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
