I'm only staying in for the moment because I have a good Del Rep and a good branch(recommended a no vote) but if things change I'll be out like a shot.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Sure its not a brilliant deal, it was never going to be wwas it.

Most workers are having there wages cut or there jobs going completly, failure to agree some sort of deal would have RM imposing a deal. That is all the crap bits and all the positve things left out.

Lets bury this DTD once and for all, RM where about to re brand the whole thing and dispense with the D2T service. This would have meant everyone would have lost the money anyway and for what exactly. I do not like it but its the best of a bad deal the world has changed and will change even more in the enxt few years. The next government will have there hands full for a while, but when they get round to us ( and they will ) we will get sold off( or given away).

Walking away from the Union will achieve what exactly ?

Weaken it for all of us

Give mangement an easy time

save you £12 a month

Get real , unity is strength and without the union we would have been sunk years ago :mfo

Has the DOM made these changes by negotations and agreement did he use the IR framework did he draw up an agreement with regards to the changes that your rep signed if not then thats the main reason your rep should be putting in his letter.

Phone your branch.
Thanks monkeyboy, I thought that was the case, I had asked manager to negotiate with rep and use the IR framework, you may not believe his reply which was I don't have to as your cwu rep will just agree with me anyway :left: . no wonder shimy has left the union, I am seriously considering it myself

P13 you must guide your rep down the road of contacting the branch for guidance on this matter asap or do it yourself .

Very odd comment to make about your rep from the DOM.

New day same Dawn nothing will ever change in R/M

I understand aswell shimys reasons for leaving the union and everyone elses my first reaction was to yesterday .

Before i leave i want to sort the new duties for the lads i cant leave it up to R/M,they will go to town on the boys and thats not rite.

As General Secretary for the CWU, his reported annual salary in 2009 is £97,647
That`s insane if true.
That's without the loan perks and the expenses and the full final salary pension, unlike yours of course, which as you know is now career average and costing you even more money, because guess what - they managed to de-couple it from the 2007 agreement - just another master stroke.

You are absolutely right, unity is strength and as soon as the leadership support the membership I'll rejoin. As for being sunk years ago without the union?
You should get real the union has been toothless for the last 5 years at least, they are supporting themselves NOT you.

We all need to cancel now!! Scare the Union Shi*tless

They can't treat us like this and expect us to keep subsidising them! Maybe when they look at their balance sheets next month they might start growing a backbone then I may re-join.

OPTION 2 THEN OPTION 1

Until then I need that £90.80 per year to make up for the money I've now lost

Unless you are gifted with the power of second sight that is not a statement you are qualified or have the knowledge to make.
Most workers are having there wages cut or there jobs going completly
,

Factually incorrect , utter nonsense
failure to agree some sort of deal would have RM imposing a deal. That is all the crap bits and all the positve things left out.
Last time they did that there was a national strike, remember?
Lets bury this DTD once and for all, RM where about to re brand the whole thing and dispense with the D2T service.

Oh yeah , what give up one of their most profitable lines or again risk a national strike by removing payment, not likely when you think about it is it?
I do not like it but its the best of a bad deal the world has changed and will change even more in the enxt few years.

Patronising and banal , or have you just discovered the world changes around you

:Applause Well said

Get real ,
You do tend to be patronising.
unity is strength and without the union we would have been sunk years ago :mfo
:Applause Very true ,but then again with people writing stuff like the above and in that tone, it comes as no surprise that members resign.
Might be nice to have dignity and respect in the union as well?

Is everyone who has left the union going to leave the country if the government they vote for fails to get power?

Not really seen as the fundamental reason behind all the changes is the government.
