They is no point in the union wanting the same terms and conditions for casuals, part-timers than full-timers. I'm a full-timer not a part-timer.
trouble is that its not classed as door to door money, just an add on to basic pay so in reality the door to doors are being done for nothing we just get an extra 20 odd quid suppliment
Someone started a thread - So what rm are wanting is full-time workers do 4 walk 400 calls and d2d for extra £20, and part-time workers 400 calls for pro-rata. :hmmmm . I've stated in the other thread that part-timers are getting well shafted, just look at the act 2000 regards part-timers workers.

RM are threatening to pull the deal because of it.

Need time to think.

EDIT:We had the near final agreement as a download, please do not PM or email me for it.
Official one coming out on Mon.
Has The Truth got any comments on wether this is the real deal or not ??Although im new to this site hes been towted as a reliable source on here.I work in processing so dont really know anything about deliveries ie D2D and that but any cut in money for any1 is a total disgrace. Even if it were a matter of pence never mind the amount in pounds thats being banded about on here.I over the last ten years got the feeling that our mailcentre was being run down on purpose by managment you know they make too many wrong choices that are so blatant and inept you couldnt possibly make them by accident if u know what i mean.In doing this they then make everything self destruct we get the blame we are classed as the inept workforce ie we are so crap that the buisness cant survive and needs to be sold off so in effect sell it off coz its our fault even though thats not true but from what im hearing this deal sounds like more of the same.I get the feeling now that no matter what The Union asks for the pension blackhole is so great we wont get nothing because our buisness is going to be sold or part sold and we are powerless to stop it.The one major factor you can trace everything back too is the pension mess and the people who caused it our great Labour government do not want to accept any responsibility for it.So in a very long nutshell i believe all of our problems are because of the pension mess so they are going to sell us off and blame us in the process diverting any flack from themselves. This paydeal if true is there biggest cloak and dagger move towards privatisation yet. :mfo :cfo :lfo

Now lovejoy how are the PEC reacting to this "Deal of the Century" are they still in a darkened room with the sound of dripping water, have they got slivers of bamboo down their fingernails yet, have they prepared the stocks, manacles and chains for the next group next week?

If any if them have seen this agreement they may as well stay at home, because JC himself, reading on the mount with a basket of loaves and fishes whilst strolling down the canal couldn't sell this.

Stop making me laugh dvb,mrs fishtank is wondering what websites i'm looking at.

You can reassure Mrs ft I no longer do the webcam strip on the minitool website. The coroner is apparently confused as to who shot who in the back of the head first whilst systematically stabbing one another in the back - oh and I do mean stabbing and not "stabbing" though to see this deal it does make you wonder. I take comfort in the fact that the mailing list for the next ballots for the CWU Leadership will be half what it currently is - as they say in places other than London - as ye sow so shall ye reap, sow the wind reap the whirlwind - and also f*ck you jack I'm alright, which they do say in London.
Bollocks. I hate this so-called deal as much as anyone in the country, as do/will the majority of London postmen/women.
This chip on your shoulder regarding London, really is starting to get on my feckin' wick. We've had the balls to tell Royal Mail guvnors that despite what shyte agreements have been made, they're not going to have evrything they're own way.
Even, if for some unknown reason, this deal is agreed by the wider membership, any part of it that doesn't suit the best interests of our members in my office, will not get in, and if it's forced on us, we'll be out on the gate sooner than you can say, "by eck, Ethell, get me flat cap will yer, I want to take Whippets for a walk."
I'm getting sick and tired of reading moany shyte from northerners like yourself. Shut the feck up, grow some feckin' balls, and fight against what you think is unjust. You and your colleagues are the union, not the feckin' useless w*****s holed up in Wimbledon. :evil/mad

To be fair Harry i don't think Dvb has an issue with ordinary London posties.
He has stated that quite openly in the past.
Although comments like ""by eck, Ethell, get me flat cap will yer, I want to take Whippets for a walk."I'm getting sick and tired of reading moany shyte from northerners like yourself. " don't really help.
There are plent up North or even further North than what you consider North who are quite happy to fight against what they think is unjust.
Many areas were targeted before HQ had any coherent response and these areas were left isolated by both HQ and their "brothers" further south.
London was not the only area to tell Royal Mail to stick there savings up their a*se but the publicity London recieved being the capital made a difference.

Could be the publicity arose from the fact that we striked for the entire summer and autumn, right up until fat guts Billy Hayes declared he was going to save Christmas, and then went and called the strikes off before November had time to fart for itself, losing us the best bargaining tool we had. A lot of very big businesses have their HQs in London, quite a few of 'em in the area I work, not to mention MPs, Celebreties, and other very wealthy people, and all those knobheads were getting a very poor service for months. That's maybe why there was so much publicity regarding London.
If, and this is only a suggestion, dvbuk is talking about the w*****s holed up in Wimbledon, perhaps, it would be better to refer to them as Wimbledon, not London, as Wimbledon is no way representitive of the London Membership, something we have in common with our colleagues in the North.
If this agreement is voted in, my office will be as isolated as one in Skegness, but we will fight tooth and nail to keep out any unnacceptable parts of this agreement, as I suspect most DOs in London will too, we will unite as one, and who knows, there could be a dispatches programme on channel four in a couple of years, focussing on a couple of offices here in London, and lo and behold, longer and later working on a Saturday will be unheard of, I just hope that we will share this good fortune with most of our colleagues in the North, but they will have to do what we will have to do, and fight for it, agreement reached, or no agreement reached.

Hello troops....

I wrote the following post http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... =1&t=21761" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; 4 MONTHS ago when I heard the strikes were off. So many people replied and told me and others to give the Union a chance to get us a good deal. So many people told me and others this was the way forward. I now think my original post has now more meaning than ever before.
