ROYAL MAIL SHARE PRICE PLUNGED TODAY

Post by POSTPERSON50 »

https://www.asktraders.com/analysis/roy ... t-warning/

'The Royal Mail PLC (LON: RMG) share pie plunged 12.9% today despite the parcels company not making any significant announcements. The move was triggered by the profit warning issued by US parcels delivery firm FedEx. Shares in Deutsche Post, the owner of DHL, fell 7%.

Investors reacted negatively to FedEx’s profit warning after the US multinational firm cited service challenges in Europe and macroeconomic weakness in Asis as the primary culprits behind a $500 million revenue gap recorded in the two regions.

Royal Mail could lose some or many of its long-time customers that might not like its workers’ constant threat of strike action. However, given the highly competitive nature of the UK and global parcels industry, these customers have multiple options to replace Royal Mail'.

Only reason the scumbag hasnt been voted out yet, on a vote of no confidence by the shareholders, is because he's used the profits we have made for him to sweeten the shareholders by giving out dividends this year, and thats the money that should have been used for a decent pay rise for us lot. Paying a dividend keeps the wolf from his door, and also fills his own boots given the amount of shares they all have on the board.

It's hardly surprising the share price tanks when the CEO publicly admitted that the business cannot afford uniform for its staff or to complete an order for electric vans.

I'm surprised he hasn't been hauled in front of the financial conduct authority for deliberately pushing the share price lower.

I'm not sure if he's ever been in charge of a publicly listed company but his behaviour is bizarre and erratic and his own board needs to reign him in.

Not surprised at all Woody

Remember when the government sold off Royal Mail back in the day? The share price sky rocketed offering massive profits for big banks and city investors as the government botched the deal. Oddly enough the FCA didn't investigate it.

Simon's board is full of his own cronies that he has recruited and "yes men" desperate to climb the career ladder like Ricky McCaulay. Like most failed operational senior managers they talk they talk about 4pm deliveries but will never walk the walk unless, in his case, its a evening pub crawl up the Royal Mile
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Think the fall in share price was down to Fedex having a profits warning

The area i work in has already lost boohoo and all the brands under their umbrella to our rivals, so when people on here say the strike is having little effect our main core of business is leaving us also simon is giving our business to our rivals, why do you think this is happening he is trying to force us into a corner but we are not stupid as he thinks we know what he is doing.

People will conclude we are unreliable and loss of business of the sender less revenue cannot blame them with pilocks in charge demanding change while pocketing millions and failure of responsibility awarded with a BONUS!
