Wages being ransacked by deductions

Post by jmdnnlln2911 »

I've been off work for 14 months UNPAID to become a carer for the wife, 2 months sick 12 months unpaid. having returned my first wage packet consisted of £6.00. I thought stupidly, we worked a week in hand and perhaps this was a tax rebate. I've now checked my wage slip and I had deductions of £300. This week as well as no pay for the strike day the CWU have taken over £50 what for I simply dont know, I asked for union advice during my time away and was firmly told 'As you no longer pay your weekly dues you get no support' At this rate I cant afford to eat let alone travel to work. TBH I was better off claiming carers allowance, at least I knew what the hell was going on. Looking back on previous wage slips online I can see charges being put against my wage slip on various dates but absolutely no explanation as to why just Pension and overpayment, even though I had paid back any overpayments through tax rebates. HOW DOES ROYAL MAIL expect me to get by if they constantly raid my wages?

Yep first thing on my list today, but when you discover you're short in your wages for a second week at 5.30am it can be bloody frustrating..
