collections from post offices

Post by centenaryman »

our collections from post offices are turning up at the p.o and being shown a letter from royal mail explaining that a private courier firm will collect at dinner time and evening....so making our collections pointless.

and it has started today on turning up at the post office....all collection sacks and alike are gone with the new courier....i think its something like GMB or similar name...

local union branch had no idea

I've been told similar by staff at a P.O. I don't think they've had any collections by the courier yet though.

The company is GBA Services (https://www.gbaservices.com/services) I can't recall ever seeing their liveried vehicles driving around, so I can't see how they can start collecting from all our PO's nationwide, they don't seem to be advertising for van drivers given this must be a big contract to take on, perhaps this is just another ploy by Simon to try and put the frighteners on staff?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
