King Charles III has approved an order that the day of the Queen’s funeral will be a UK bank holiday. It will take place on Monday 19 September.

The date is yet to be confirmed, but earlier on Saturday the new King approved an order to make it a bank holiday.

I would be VERY surprised if we worked it. If it’s an official bank holiday then we are automatically off. We didn’t work the day of Diana’s funeral and that wasn’t even declared a bank holiday.

Don’t Royal Mail want us to be split up so they cream off the most profitable part GLS.If they had their way we wouldn’t deliver any more letters only parcels.If they could get androids to do our job they would do that aswell.

I’m on a weeks holiday, when the funeral is on. Do I get the day back as a holiday or the pay? Or do I get choice?
