LFV/HGV training

Post by ScousePostie »

I know this has been mentioned on here in the past, but was wondering if anyone had heard anything about LGV or HGV training through Royal Mail?

This tends to be something that is location dependent. Your best bet is to get in touch with your area distribution unit. Do you have grandfather rights to drive a 7.5t? For those that have then, subject to having a changeover, volunteering for O/T may be an option to get a foot in the door.
My area has, in the past, recruited & trained D.O. staff as & when required.

I was accepted on the LGV training but I looked more into it and I could be taken anywhere up to an hour away from where I live. I decided to turn down the offer.
