Scan In/Out data will not be used for the automatic reduction of contractual pay or allowances based on data captured, or to reduce overtime pay where a (verbal) contract has been agreed with the manager prior to commencement.

And.....

It is recognised that in some locations agreed operational arrangements and overtime arrangements/commitments are in place which mean that individuals do not return to the unit after completing their delivery, it is confirmed that individuals can use a combination of the Static PDA and Walk PDA to record start/finish of the duty.

So everything changes and nothing changes...

One guy in my office lives on his delivery and goes home as soon as he finishes the delivery. It’s all above board and agreed due to family friendly.

Exactly this, most of our van retentions are because the postie finishes in the village they live in and it makes more sense for both parties that they retain the van and come back the next day rather than cut off and spend 20 minutes travilling to office.

It won't for now....but as you will surely realise, RM play a slowly slowly catchy postie game.

Introduced this year, we won't take notice of this, that or the other - but reports will no doubt be being produced and poured over by the statisticians, giving feedback to up above ready for next year's negotiations....

As the saying goes - there is no smoke without fire - they won't be investing all this money in SISO technology without wanting a payback.

Then more fool the van partner, and people on here go on about working to rule whilst cutting corners like this , trouble is that everyone only sees the corners others cut....never the ones they themselves are doing

Threads like this just make me think at times our biggest problem isn’t the company and management but each other.
