well the strike mandate is still valid until January so i would think we will be if they haven't caved by then and we haven't lost our own support.

I personally don’t think we should announce more strike dates straight away, they know we are serious now and know full well we could blitz them in November/ December, now is the time to push for negotiations with the threat of strikes over Xmas a serious threat.

Makes sense to wait till after the two next week, I hear a bit of moaning here and there about money loss. It's a balancing act for some of these, too much thought of loss and they'll cross the forbidden line, and the more that do the more acceptable people think it is. Personally, I'd like a whole week's strike but it's completely understandable with rising costs why people are feeling the pressure.

Isn’t Black Friday in November? I think the strike days will be before then, but any more strikes after should definitely include that day.

I personally don’t think we should announce more strike dates straight away, they know we are serious now and know full well we could blitz them in November/ December, now is the time to push for negotiations with the threat of strikes over Xmas a serious threat.

i know 2 d/o's are not the same but the general feeling at ours is that the odd day, or 2 next week won't effect rm's railroad, 95% clear today after an hammering,
too many backing the strikes are on more money even now with the strike days mopping up overtime, easy parcel runs after duty, and who can blame them when nothing is said to all who take overtime inc the early starts, who's to blame?
i can only think of cwu'hq for not adding "action short of strike" to the ballot papers, they knew this and were told but beforehand and they flatly refused this form of action, and quite frankly an 100% overtime ban would bring rm to it's knees where nobody loses a penny, just some don't profit from our dispute,
this coming from a 100% working class union background bloke,
the cwu must ballot again very soon for an overtime ban in nov/dec or we've lost

As a p/t worker there's no chance I'll be taking part in an o/t ban as if I did that them I'd be losing around 50% of my pay, whilst a f/t'er will be still getting their f/t pay. The whole IA saga is a bit of a joke, as do the general public even know we're on strike when all the backlog is cleared in a day or two.

What does the general public have to do with anything we work for a private company we're trying to bring the share price down and business and shareholders loose confidence in the company.public and backlogs don't mean anything.
