5 O'Clock Starts On Saturdays

I've just come from a meeting with our area manager & cluster DOM, where we have just been told that the 05.00 start on Saturday, that was agreed by RM & the CWU in that wonderful agreement signed off by Dave & Billy...is unattainable...

Well it would be if they we're prepaired to change the runs into the DO's from the mail center, but surprise , surprise they are not gonna do that.

Surely this reneges on the national agreement. and if they are prepaired to renege on this, god only knows what there gonna do with FLEXABILITY....... :evil/mad

it does indeed go against the deal so we should all take a step backwards and not agree to anything else untill this has been resolved as per deal ...time for our 'leaders' billy and dave to sort it out as they are the ones who did the deal with mr crazier and co

this will only happen if you sit back and let them do it
up the anti and tell em that as from next week as per the agreement you will be starting at 5 am
get your troops together and all try and start at 5 and threaten to cut off as you probably wont be allowed in your unit

All turn around and say your felexibility arangements are not in keeping with the agreed pay and modernisation agreement 2007/2009!. AND DO NOT GIVE THEM ONE INCH TILL THEY COME TO AGREEMENT WITH YOU ALL!.

Go through the framework and flag it up to stage 3,the deal says you can revert back to these start times on saturday,if no joy Ballot.

Reverting to Saturdays is phase 1 of the agreement so don't sign off phase 2 till they agree phase 1.

we are reverting back this sat to 05.00 and 05.30 with changes to the run times.

we had a vote on it and it was a resounding victory for the 5oclock start,to be reintroduced on sat 9 feb,but we also got threatened with if all the mail does not go then they will invoke the half hour flexibility,seems to me flexibility is gonna be used as a big stick to wag in our faces. WILL THEY NEVER LEARN WE WILL NOT BE BEATEN DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we are right at the end of the line
and have been told we can have our 1st van van anytime we want .......
but the earlier it is the less mail it will have and the 2nd van will NOT be moved
so coming in early will just extend your working day.
stitched up or what........but who by ROYAL MAIL or UNION agreeing to a deal that won't benifit us but made many vote yes for this crap offer
