Late Saturdays

Post by roman »

With the proposed later start times including Saturdays, are people worried about missing sporting activities.I am a season ticket holder at a football club I support, so with a 3pm plus finishing time it won’t be feasible anymore.

I’m guessing that’s what they probably want especially the older full timers

We work until after 1pm on saturdays already, we used to be home by 9am saturdays and had these same discussions then. Fact, they can change your contract with the right amount of notice and they will. One of the things I am convinced that will happen is our times will change, it has happened ever since I joined the job.

Who would ever want to go back to the days when you never cut off? was finished by 8 30am on a Saturday, had time to help customers with any issues they had. All offices clear. Morale was high and you had family time :nana .

I’m so glad I’m worked like a dog now and never have any family time and am just so knackered to do anything because every cloud has a silver lining. See! I can’t spend any money because I don’t go out and I can’t buy online as I always fall asleep before I can check out. I remember when this was a fantastic service. How things can change. :cuppa

Whatever our hapless bosses do, both staff, and public, will be less than impressed.

I’ve already had customers ask about what’s happening with RM when I’ve told them they’re less than impressed that they’re gonna get their Mail/ parcels later possibly in the future…… :mad

The public don't give a s**t about us, as long as they get their stuff. Some don't even realise we work Saturdays.

Ask Sir Kier he gets box seats you could ask your DOM if he or she supports the same team but you will be paying for the drinks.

I'm in the same boat, absolutely depressing.
