Still signing for items ?

Are people handing there PDA over yet , had no brief in our office about it but my wife is a postie at another office and said they got told around 2 months ago to start signing as DWS if they didn’t want to hand pda over ? Is it just down to personal preference ?

We got told we have to hand it over. I’m not. I am using DWS with a smiley face in the enlarged D. The managers are NOT on the front line with people sneezing and snotting. You don’t know where their hands have been. So NO I won’t be handing it over unless a manager comes out with me a makes me do it. Then he/she can then clean the PDA down for me after each handover.

Just imagine if you need 50 of your customers to sign your PDA in a single day.

Not great for us or for the 49th person either.

We use the DWS code + CV19, same since March 2020.

In reality recorded delivery is dead but RM still get their £1.10 revenue each time.

Nope, I've been "XP1'ing" items ever since covid started & I've not been told nor asked to do anything differently. I'm glad, covid has highlighted just how easily things can be spread.

Still xp1 ing, we haven't been told any different, but I guess that's one advantage of having a lazy DOM, lots of Covid around still in my area as well.

DWS all day long, including specials. Not heard a dickie bird from higher up, so until i do I'll carry on. At that point,as Cloughie once said, we'll discuss it and then agree I'm right. Keep getting told we are responsible for our H&S and this is me doing a 'dynamic risk assessment'. Play them at their own game.

I've been using using DWS as I value mine and my family's health and safety. Also quite a lot of people have trouble signing for an item using the PDA - hand on the screen so the signature won't appear etc. It's also quicker seeing as we're so pushed for time on deliveries.

XP1, not heard a thing about it and will carry on.

Two points mean I will carry on regardless of any instructions to stop:

1: Have had several customers recently call out from behind the door that the household has COVID so it's certainly circulating in the town.

2: Have had a lot of customers ask me whether they need to sign. When I say no and explain the use of the code is to stop passing the PDA from one person to another everyone understands and agrees it's a good idea.
