Packets on Delivery

Post by Jakehoyt99 »

I do a Van drive delivering the parcels around the area in my DO covering 5 walks, but have an issue with a work colleague who is on a single van walk duty.

As they have a van for their duty, they take all parcels for that particular duty but am being told that they don't have to take larger parcels for overtime after, even though they are using the same van to do the overtime in!!

What are the rules if any, if using a van to do overtime in regards to parcels / packets that come with the walk??

Are you saying your colleague uses a van for his delivery,letters/packets/large packets, and that delivery incurs overtime so he uses the same van?

There are no "rules" specific to that situation.
It depends who's doing the telling.
If it's a manager just get on with it as long as you've got time.
If it's just the guy himself... laugh.

I can't see an issue unless the van is used by someone in the afternoon?

So he returns to the DO at the end of his duty and then decides whether he is going to go back out on overtime with larger parcels.

What exactly is your problem with that?
