Missed out because of covid

Post by Dogbone1510 »

Hi all just wondered if anyone knew what the advice was if under the new holiday rules as I have been told that I will miss out my rm hr on 4 weeks holiday pay because I failed by 3hrs 12 mins in the 31st Jan till end of Feb this was because u had 1 week annual leave then 9 days off with covid but all other months smashed the 8hr rule anyone know if you can get a pass for this? Managed to get Chris from union comms team to say contact my local branch and I think I rember someone it was possible but just wondered as I've missed out on 1 week in april, June,July and August under the new rules as under old system would of recived thanks in advance

More evidence of how absurd the holiday rules are. If they don’t make an allowance for Covid, bang in an ET claim

There will be thousands of us missing out because RM have stopped overtime. Can’t do 8 hours a month if you can’t even claim extended delivery. I used to do 12 hours a week, I’ve done zero for the last 7 weeks.

It'll also be one of the indirect consequences of the proposed changes they want to bring in ie the shorter hours in summer
and longer hours in the winter - we won't be earning OT going over because either we'll have the hours to complete in the
winter or if you do go over the hours get 'banked' not paid as OT (well that's my understanding of it).

So the holiday payments that RM are having to fork out at the moment will disappear or be reduced dramatically in all likelihood.

Even more reason for those who are continuing their Employment Tribunal cases to carry on and try and get the 8hr ruling changed.
