Is the returned amount enough for a valid stike? 64% seems hella low.and 22 spoiled this is managment and they can't tick a box properly??

Outcome of Unite/CMA Ballot for Industrial Action

We are disappointed by the result of the Unite/CMA ballot in which members have voted in favour of both industrial action and industrial action short of a strike, also known as work to rule.

Unite have stated they will be informing us in due course in relation to the terms of any industrial action.

Throughout the ballot process Unite head office has misled members about claims of additional job losses. This is not true. Unite has ignored our requests to correct these claims.

There are no grounds for industrial action. The lengthy consultation on these changes concluded earlier this year, and the structure has been up and running for more than a month.

We signed a major new transformation agreement with Unite/CMA last year in good faith that we could work constructively together. This is a time when we should be working together to realise the full benefits this new way of working can give us.

As we embed the new structure, we have been collecting feedback from managers. There is still work to do but overall the initial feedback has been encouraging and the potential benefits are becoming more evident.

Our frontline delivery managers, more than anyone, understand the damage industrial action of any nature will do, especially in the current environment. They also appreciate the significant effort it will take to repair and rebuild afterwards. We already have customers poised to take their business elsewhere and there is no guarantee that traffic will return. Any loss in revenue will have substantial consequences.

It was before my time the last time managers went on strike so where do we stand with refusing to cross picket lines, I have refused on delivery before but obvious refusing to go into the office is abit different. I know they would cross ours but I’m better than that.

Nice bit of irony, we have no choice but to cross their picket lines, and they have to conduct code anyone who doesn't cross their picket lines
