Personally I think it would be better to show the people joining the union the benefits of being in the union so they stay long term even after the strike or if there is no strike at all.

Anyone should be welcome even if it’s only for a short time, if nothing else it will show a bigger reflection of the feelings around the workforce.

For the avoidance of doubt, and miss information elsewhere, just because you are not in the union, you can still strike.
