High blood pressure (medical retirement?)

I’ve had high blood pressure for a while now, certainly not helped by the last few years of stress & anxiety of working during the pandemic. Over the last few months my doctor has gradually increased the dosage of my BP meds. My BP levels during the day have come down to a good/normal level, BUT my early morning BP readings are still high. After doing a bit of research online, it seems your BP can spike first thing in the morning, even if you’re on BP meds. I found this…

“Patients with hypertension who specifically have morning hypertension have a higher risk of stroke, compared with other hypertensive patients without morning hypertension”

This has me worried, to the point do I need to start looking for another job where I don’t have to get up so early. Also, and I realise this is clutching at straws, would I qualify for medical retirement on the grounds that early mornings in this job increase my chance of a stroke?

I would imagine medical retirement would only apply if your medical condition prohibited you from carrying out your job

I've got diabetes type 2 that's covered under the dda

I've literally just turned 43 within the last few days and have had high blood pressure for 15 years. I'm on a high dosage tablet and it controls it. It doesn't get in the way of me doing the job so I doubt you'd get medically retired. Unless you want to though and are using it as an angle.
