Part Time Duties

Post by kazardaimenu »

Several duties in my office are allocated to part timers although all the duties take a relatively similar time to complete. Recently the part timers have had their start times pushed an hour later on the the quieter days with the assumption the full timers will be able to cover all the sorting and prepping the office requires for that hour. Needless to say we are all getting out of the office later than usual and unable to complete before the scheduled full time finish time. Part time contracts currently sit at 29hrs in our office, is there scope to have hours added to these to reflect the work the part timers do and the time it takes to clear these walks? If we don't wish to go over our contracted hours we will have to cut off and let the mail pile high.

Not very likely to get anything changed regarding contracts while a vast majority of the late starting PT are willing to complete delivery on overtime.

Sounds similar to our place, full timer leaves, we're a person down on the IPS so it has a knock on effect on everybody that's full time, another full timer then gets sent off IPS to prep a duty so IPS takes even longer.
