Day off falls on bank hol ?

Hey all I’m a reserve so I don’t follow any rolling day off as such , I’ve got given Friday as a day off ( obviously it’s bank holiday ) do I not get paid for this as other people in the office who’s day falls of on day Monday will have 4 days off that week or is it just tough luck ?

You get your day credited back on your annual leave card.

You should be given the choice of a day credited back to you or the overtime for your contracted hours that day.
You may need to push for it as the day back seems to have become the default position of the company unless you make it known that isn't what you want.

If your day off falls on a Bank Holiday (any Bank Holiday)

You have 3 options

Option 1: A day credited to your annual leave
Option 2: A different day off in the same week
Option 3: Paid overtime that’s the equivalent hours you would have worked had the Bank Holiday been a normal day.

it's as number1 posted above, you pick the choice, but operational needs will stop a different day off that week

If your day off falls on a Bank Holiday (any Bank Holiday)

You have 3 options

The manager has the initial option to give you an alternative day off that week. You don't get to choose that option.

If that's not possible then you have the option of a day credited or the paid OT. It's in the policy.

That's what's happened in our office this forthcoming week and those being given an alternative day off
this same week are having a right moan, but rep pointed out the policy.
