Hi,
I've recently trained as a 7.5 driver, I already work for royal mail and want to transfer over to be a driver. Has anyone else done this ? Was the process easy? I am hoping to work the night shifts permanently does anyone know if this is possible please? Or if royal mail allow this? Hoping someone can help me! Thanks

Re: Transitioning from postie to 7.5 HGV driver
Hi , I am a MGV driver and I was on loan for over 2 years at first and then I had to apply for a PT contract before I was made full time . It depends on we’re you work and wether there are any vacancies in distribution my advice would be to contact distribution and ask these questions first , hope this helps and feel free to direct message me if you need any more info

Keep looking on success factors if your not at a mail centre. Distribution are always desperate for drivers at Xmas and that's how you get your foot in the door. Try asking for a change over now so you are ready to drive for them shoukd you be needed.
