I ask them not to touch, but they all do it naturally.

We've never been told anything about XP1/CV19 being stopped at my DO, but read it online.

I asked a couple of people to sign the PDA, but didn't feel comfortable with it, so just changed to DWS instead.

Yes , maybe add some additional codes on top of DWS , e.g. HC for handed to customer, or codes for other types of delivery so you know
exactly where the item went if asked later.

I won’t hand over my pda even though covid is all over and forgotten about. I know covid isn’t around now because the amount of people in my office all virtually touching shoulder to shoulder while working is unbelievable. I counted 12 people in a 15m2 area yesterday all on top of each other.

More than two hundred people a day are dying with Covid in UK, it’s just not hitting main news anymore.

Are any people wearing mask at the doorstep when asking for a signature?
Or are you just not knocking and use DWS?

Not sure you can risk "DWS" unless you've spoken to the customer, or at least know that the surname matches whoever your delivering the letter to? Although there doesn't seem many R/D letters left in our locker at the end of the duties!

You don't need a siganature but you need to take a photo of the recipient holding up birth certificate and valid passport and ultility bill.

XP1 is just a generic marking. Customers were complaining at the beginning when used CV19 as the ‘dumb’ ones thought it meant we were marking down that they had the virus. So it was changed to something that meant nothing.

Not to be confused with any safe place or door stepping.
Absolutely no issues from people regarding signings.
As posted previously they don't want to touch PDA .

Fairly sure it was either Amazon or Yodel, at one time they'd email you a short numeric code number. When delivery was attempted, you had to read out the code to the delivery person which they entered into the their PDA. If the code matched then you got your item otherwise it went back to the delivery depot. Something like that would work for Tracked. When it comes to stuff that needs signing for, on an average walk, Tracked must account for well over 3/4 of the stuff on a walk that needs to be signed for
