Hi I’m just asking if anybody can help me I’m currently on sick leave been of 6 months now with 5 collapsed discs in my neck and back I’m waiting to see a spinal surgeon but this is a 26 wks wait Im currently on half pay Im on a 30 hr contract on my wage slip my contracted hours have dropped to 15 hrs is this normal as nothing is straight forward with RM Any help would be appreciated thank you

Yes, unfortunately. Sick pay is paid at full rate for six months and then half pay for six months in any rolling four year period.

This is normal, as you are allowed only 6 months sick at full pay and 6 months sick at half pay in any 4 year period.
Perhaps see if there are any benefits you could be entitled to claim in the mean time.
