Insurance, non staff member.

Post by tragictramp »

Today the leader of Welsh labour mark dripford took a trip to Newport west delivery office to have a look at the electric Van fleet, apparently he had a drive in a vehicle and was filmed as a passenger. Surely this wouldn't be covered under royal mail's bond based insurance as members of the public or untrained drivers are not permitted to be passenger or driver?

Not a lot wrong with Mr Drakeford, a far better leader than the pompous clown in Westminster. When are we all getting electric vehicles? Diesel vans make no sense these days for delivery runs of 50 miles or less a day

Good old "let's have another lockdown" Drakeford?
How is the Welsh NHS doing these days?

Correct. However, it is possible that as Royal Mail operate a bond system (instead of insurance) they can make their own exceptions.

As they operate a Bond, they as a company (not individual managers) can probably decide who and when is covered by their bond. They probably have procedures in place to authorise VIPs to drive RM liveried vehicles as a one-off, for such occasions. A bit like in the 80s when Thatcher was photographed driving a "tank" .
