Off sick due to covid and payslip not making sense
So my entire family came down with covid last Sunday, so I contacted my manager to let him know I would not be coming in. As it is its affected me quite badly and I'm pretty ill. Got a letter today stating that my sick pay ends on the 4th, I called on the 3rd. My payslip from week starting 28th when I was at work has sick pay on it and is obviously well under what I should have been paid for last week's work. So essentially sick pay stopped before it began yet somehow magically I got paid sick pay in a week where I was at work? I can't find any information to help me and its stressing me out to know that I won't be getting paid next week. This has to be an error? Or am I reading my payslips wrong? I do 30 hrs per week with a rolling day off.

It may be that you are thinking we are paid a week in hand- We aren't we are paid the same week as we work.
Ie if you work Monday - Saturday the pay you get on Friday is for that week even though it's not yet over.
Don't worry it catches a lot of people out when they leave Royal Mail as well.
Also if you are not being paid whilst off sick, then I guess you have not yet done a year at Royal mail.
