Hi,
I’m currently signed off sick and have been for a few weeks, and as I’ve only been at RM for half year, I’m just getting basic statutory sick pay.
The issue I’m having is that I’m owed 9.5 hours overtime from work I did earlier in October, however my line manager says he’s unable to pay this to me whilst I’m on SSP?!
Does anybody know if this is the case? It seems a really odd rule. I phoned ACAS who said they’ve never heard of any incident like this before.
How do I raise this issue with someone other than my manager I.e Hr, my managers boss etc
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Receiving overtime money whilst off sick
I'd guess that he can't pay it currently ie add it on to say this week's pay to put it right, but as far as I'm aware they can input overtime in the actual date it was done so if he did that presumably that would work, I don't know though but someone else will.

Re: Receiving overtime money whilst off sick
Paying overtime into PSP when a person is entered as sickness causes issues in PSP, it isn't done. Overtime can be paid into previous weeks but it throws up a discrepancy between RCS and PSP, managers try to avoid especially in smaller units although it's much less of an issue than overtime being paid into a sickness week. If you're owed it, demand it. Let them sort it out.ted_e_bear wrote: ↑02 Apr 2022, 06:10I'd guess that he can't pay it currently ie add it on to say this week's pay to put it right, but as far as I'm aware they can input overtime in the actual date it was done so if he did that presumably that would work, I don't know though but someone else will.
