Accident at work
Hi I trapped my finger at work crushing the end of finger, what's the latest accident at work policy? I had to go to minor injuries for treatment. I've not filled anything in at work about it yet so no clue if it's gone in accident book or what ever they use now.

You have 24 hours to record in the ERICA as Royal Mail policy. It is also a legal requirement.
Speak to management. It is done on the computer with you in attendance. They will try to evade the issue, but stand firm.

I not been back in since it happened so no clue if it was put in will have to ask when I give them a ring the office first aider did treat me before I had to go no clue if they have to fill anything in to

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

24 hours is Royal Mail policy, 48 if a weekend or Bank Holiday with recording an accident.
Even though a legal requirement, there is no statutory restriction when the employee records that accident with the employee.
Even if you in hospital with a leg in plaster, it is still an obligation for the employee to report the accident at first opportunity to management to be officially recorded. It is management that can then start the ERICA process, even if the employee is not in attendance at that original recording. They can manually update the ERICA.
It is most important they recorded work accidents as it can affect future disability pensions and benefits if applicable. (Welfare Reform Act 2012)

Not had chance to go back yet as don't live close and been back and forth to hospital for appointments be surprised if they have put it down

Not your problem, as long as they are aware.
If you really want to wind them up, ask for a copy of the ERICA as you need it as you are making a claim with the DWP as an industrial injury
