Attendance Review, Part-Timer
I would like to know how the attendance review works for a part timer on a 3 or 4 day week. Is it just working days that are counted or the working week? Any clarification would be appreciated, thanks

Re: Attendance Review, Part-Timer
Full week would be recorded as sick leave (including non working days ie Sunday) unless you specifically state you was fit to work .
So if your normal working days are Mon, Tues, Weds and you was to ring in sick Monday returning the next Monday then 7 days would be recorded as sick.
Best option would be notifying RM as soon as fit to work ,let’s say Thursday then only 3 days would be recorded.
Feels like a bit of a con trick recording non working days but that is how it works.

Re: Attendance Review, Part-Timer
But be careful of the trap that can trigger two absences...eg using the above example, you're contracted to work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but are sick, then inform them you are fit for work on the Thursday...and then are still sick on the next Monday and ring in, the screws will record it as two separate absences.
If an attendance review is triggered your rep would argue to get the absences linked, especially if it was the same reason for sickness, but it's just something to be aware of.

From a lino...
With so many different work patterns across the business should we not renew the period for triggering Absence Reviews to make it fairer?
For example an OPG on a shorter working week (for example 3 days) may incur 3 separate full weeks of absence (100% of their working week) yet still only have 9 days off (below the AR1 standard of 4 absences or 14 days)
Yet someone on a 5 day week incurring 3 separate full weeks (100% of their working week) would total 15 days and be due an Absence Review.
Would the standards not be fairer if they were based on percentage of your working week off?
