This girl at my place who is a driver and does NOT get any driving allowance has had her van(mini bus) in the workshop all week.
The replacement van is a high top,now i'm sure she is now entitled to high top driving allowance money on a daily basis.
And after a certain amount of times in one week she should get the full weeks allowance.
Is this right, can someone confirm 100% either way,so if it's right then she can see the DIM all guns blazing.

Driving allowance.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Dring allowanceiv
If the vehicle she is driving is 3.5tonnes or over then she would be entitled to the appropriate driving allowance on a daily basis.

Check her(or the line manager) to see what vehicle was used for her change-over.If it was a "400"
than she is legal.
From the Way Forward :
ASSIGNED ALLOWANCES
Most existing allowances have been absorbed within the higher level of basic pay, which will now reflect and reward the broader range of skills covered by the new grade. Nevertheless there remain some specific areas where pensionable assigned allowances will be paid, on conditioned hours only, to reflect the additional qualifications or special circumstances required, as follows:
LGV driving (vehicles plated over 7.5 tonnes) £33.66 per week
LGV driving (vehicles plated 3.50 tonnes to 7.5 tonnes) £23.46 per week
Advanced TPM £18.36 per week
Postbus (PSV licensed) driving £10.20 per week
The actual driving allowance of £6 per week was done away with UNLESS you was a driver before The Way Forward came in
than she is legal.
