Looking for advice when being moved off signed for job

Hi I've recently signed for a job where I work alone. I am currently suffering a medical condition and I find this new job helps alot regarding less pain etc....
However management keep trying to move me back on my old heavy shared van job due to occupational need.
I have informed h and s rep about this and he has said I may need referring to OH.... management have said if I take this route I won't be able to do SA or work day off anymore which I find ridiculous...does anyone no where I stand refusing to do this old round of mine many thanks

It sounds like they've made reasonable adjustments for you and should therefore be sticking to them.

If you're fulfilling your duty and it's better for your medical condition then it makes little sense to keep trying to take you off it.

You've spoken to a h&s rep but have you got a union rep in your DO? If so, get them on the case. If not get onto your Area Rep or branch.

Thanks for reply mate yeah we have a union rep and that will be my next step so far since Monday I've been left on my job so hopefully this will stay permanent. I'm able to complete the round currently so hopefully I don't have to go through OH. Feel I've done my time on the bulky rounds and they should honor the signed duty I have.

If you have not had your condition officially documented by OH and only word of mouth then yes you can be moved - operational needs will be their take and although you have "signed" for that duty, you are only performing it on RM's behalf for which they are paying you for - they actually own that duty - not you - so ultimately it is theirs to decide.

Following your referral to OH and your evidence provided to them, they will issue documented guidance to management on what reasonable adjustments should be made to accommodate you, which may well include ring fencing your duty for you which would then make it very difficult for them to move you elsewhere.
