PT, now working mostly 1230 to 1900

Post by Dboy »

In recent weeks I've been asked to work 1230 to 1900, some delivery, some collections. I'm only seeing 27.5 hours on my payslips.

How many hours should I get paid for a typical day like that? What breaks if any should I take?

Since starting this new "duty" I feel I'm not sufficiently compensated and there are other downsides. Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks that's how I understand the breaks. I've been on 27.5 hrs and work the Wallington week scheme, 5x 6 days then a rotation week off. Really wanted to check the hours + break added up.

My delivery workload often means I don't get a break before collections have to start, and traffic sometimes squeezes any chance of a break in the evening. Of course there are no managers around before or after collections. :Very Happy Some days everything goes OK but I'm pushing back in a gentle, constructive way.

If you compare the shift patterns side by side You’ve been short changed by 30 hrs per rota which = 5 hrs per week!
Your wage slip should show 32.5 hrs per week.

6.5 x 6 days = 39 hrs
39 hrs x 5week = 195hrs
6th week off

27.5 x 6 weeks = 165 hrs

You need to see a manager to explain the shortfall.
