Use holiday entitlement before month end

I started the job In December and according to the people app have 26.88hrs to use ( am on 20hr contract)

Am I right in saying that it's contract hours ÷ 5 days to give you a day rate ?

If so 6 days at 4hrs hours then left 2.88 ? How does that work out

I don't if I can use them before end of month as loads of others have days booked so I may be able to roll over to next year ?

This is my rough calculation.
Standard entry - you will receive 4 weeks 2.5 days Annual leave
Assuming you work 5 days x 4 hours = 20 hours per week x 22.5 days = 90 hours annual leave entitlement.

If you started in December 2021 until April 2022 = 17 weeks approx.
For each week you would accrue around 1.7 hours x 17 = 28.9 hours (which is not far away from the figure you have)

If you work a 5 day week (or even 4) you will also be entitled to 8 bank holidays p.a. (plus an extra day this year - platinum jubilee)

You are permitted to carry over 5 days.

It's showing 90hrs for 2022/23 so that's right

So basically I got 6 and bit days to use

How does the odd amount get put through do they just tag it on to the weekly hours

Yes, any leave hours you do not take before 1st April will be carried over. The App showed my A/L - carry over 1 APR 21 - 31 MAR 22 = 11.9 hours. My hours are also 20 p/w
