Being sent to a new office help please

Post by michelle18uk »

Hi some advice would be greatly appreciated. I worked in delivery, in an office and unfortunately got sick where I needed surgery. I was sent to the mail Center on long term loan till I was better. I’m still waiting on further surgery but have been told that I’m going back to delivery. I feel fit enough to do delivery again but I’ve been told that my position has been filled in my office and that I’m being sent to another office at the other side of the city. I’m concerned about how this will effect my home life as my daughter is disabled with autism and I don’t want to have to learn another office again as this will be my 4th office in 3 years. Some advice would be greatly appreciated. Surely I should be returning to my local office where I hold a reserve position ?

How many miles is it from home to new office
How long were you off on long-term sick and long-term loan to lose your reserve position? (Weeks)
While you were on long-term sick, did the office have a resign?

Hmm....so there is an office that's fully staffed, can't see it myself seems more like they want to send you somewhere that's struggling more than your original do.
