Re: Other companies payrises!
Tesco has a 5.5% payrise back dated from July 2021...and they have just got another 0.5% last month. Every little helps. (They rejected a 4% pay rise just before they agreed on this one).

The 2.7% rise will come in the same week that millions of workers see their wages hit by a National Insurance increase.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer have both said MPs should not get a rise this year.

Re: Other companies payrises!
All these rises are nowhere near enough to cope with the cost of living. Except the MP's as they can all f**k off.
CUT OFF!!!

The rate of inflation is around 6% at the moment, and will go up further.
So we should get AT LEAST 6%, or walk out.

Re: Other companies payrises!
Looking at our current inflation rate and imminent fuel rise forecast , anything less 10% would be an insult to lower paid workforce who suffer the most poverty

Re: Other companies payrises!
Heard that we are to get a 4% pay rise but as always its going to have a lot of strings attached (hitting scanned targets etc etc) the amount of money this company has made from us being deemed "key workers" and we can't even get a decent rise considering the rise in cost of living

The bin men deserve a rise though, the amount of D2Ds they have to get shot of

We will get 5% over 3 years which will be backdated because it will be around November by the time we get it. When we lose our delivery supplement and NI goes up we will only be taking home about £7 less a week than what we are now. We will get a wage decrease but don’t worry our competitors get less, arrrghhh . What competitors ? I don’t ever see anyone else delivering bundles of letters with d2ds,packets,specials and tracked. TNT or Whistle as they are now called tried it a few years ago and look what happened there.
While we are on the subject can someone tell me why Specials have to be delivered by 1pm? This sometimes puts us under extreme pressure when you have timed specials at the beginning, middle and end of a round. Why can’t they be by 3pm or by the end of the working day? Why 1pm when the majority of walks don’t finish until 3pm?
