Part time to full time agreement
Does anybody know is there an actual agreement that states if you work full time hours consistently you're contract will at least be looked at. I've searched but couldn't find anything l. Just wanted to know what the details actually were if anyone has any insight

P/T colleagues hours will be jointly reviewed every March and September.
Where appropriate increased contracted hours will be offered to reflect the hours actually worked and planned.

Re: Part time to full time agreement
Yet again, an ambiguous agreement from the CWU/Royal Mail
The get-out clause??
Where Appropriate
Who decides when is appropriate?

Re: Part time to full time agreement
And the bonkers thing is that there are many part-timers who have been regularly working full-timer for the last 5 years BUT its not been deemed "appropriate" to increase their contractual hours to reflect this. What reasons could that be??
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Covering maternity/paternity leave.
Covering vacancies.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Part time to full time agreement
khynu, I think it may be better to post this question as a new topic or look in the blue shirts forum where a recent thread on "split maternity pay" contains information.

Covering maternity/paternity leave.
Covering vacancies.
Very few posties are either on maternity leave or on sick leave for 5 years so I suspect many of these posties are actually covering potential full-time vacancies then
