Our office is still booking leave for next year March 2022-March 2023, is there a deadline as to when this should have been completed ?
It seems to be alot slower/later then in previous years with lots of people with outstanding leave for this current leave year, he's supposedly working his way through it but with the speed hes going I think this leave year will have closed :-(
People are being told they may have to stop purchasing it next year to clear their backlog, when there is still availability !
Many thanks

Re: Holidays deadline
So their useless everywhere then !
We handed our last ones in beginning of November, the updated sheet went up about a fortnight ago ! How can they sit on them for so long, meanwhile the DOM can get annual leave

Re: Holidays deadline
Could be mistaken but I think I read in one of the agreements that it's supposed to be completed by the end of October, so if that's the case then yours is obviously well overdue.

The Joint Statement also sets out a clear process for Operational Managers and Area Delivery Representatives to provide evidence of local agreements on their office’s Annual Leave plans to their respective Delivery Director and Divisional Representatives, which should be completed by the end of October/start of November.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Holidays deadline
Annual leave has been a complete mess for as long as I can remember and it seems to be getting worse . Managers time is taken up every day just trying to get deliveries out , no time to allocate leave it seems.

If the figure quoted by Si (and I don't disbelieve him. I will leave the coruscating attacks on him to others) is correct and the DILO initiative has freed up over a million hours for our managers, then you have to wonder why they can't manage to sort out the annual leave in a timely fashion.chickenwittle wrote: ↑31 Jan 2022, 22:13Annual leave has been a complete mess for as long as I can remember and it seems to be getting worse . Here's an initiative - no manager can book or take any annual leave until the annual leave for the office is sorted. If the leave is to be sorted by the end of October for every day it is late every manager loses a week from their annual leave allowance.
