Getting slaughtered on London news

Post by chickenwittle »

Public finally realising what us posties have known for sometime, we are providing a shocking service. Royal Mail refusing to comment or do interviews, local posties sayoits due to their duties being extended and not having time to complete as well as staffing problems.Heads should roll in Royal Mail and the union who have kept quiet and gone along with it .

Also on ITV national news, RM declined to comment.
Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.

As a nice bonus to all this press coverage, we now have random people rocking up to the depot saying "I know there's been some issues lately so could you just pop in and see if there's any mail for..."

I know what will fix the problem, a shorter working week and more work added to our duties , oh hold on a minute the union have done that already, that turned out well .

Royal Mail put same statement out saying they are offering support but thats a lie.
Royal Mail management dont care that letters are failing, get premium products done thats main goal everyday

Our office is failing due to agency workers being released on Xmas eve.
Our office planned to recruit 4 vacancies in January but management have broken there promise.

Our office has already spoken about having a walk out, so if things dont improve it could be on the cards.
The DOM wanted to discuss future revision activity this year and whole office laughed and told him to get first one right before he contemplates the next one

Revisions are fine if they are done properly, fairly and look to improve the service but we all know revisions are all about saving hours and have nothing to do with quality of service.Maybe the union needs to acknowledge that rather than doing dodgy deals .

4 months into our super duper revision now and the state of play is as follows. Around 75% of delivery’s between 1 and 2 hours too big so most are either booking extended or leaving half the Mail in each day in order to get done on time. Door to doors are not getting done on more than 50% of duties. Have a day off and you come back to double next day minus the all important tracked. There was a post implementation review meeting at the end of last week and the plan that came out of it was….there is no plan. Our office was completely destroyed by a planner who had no experience on delivery and didn’t even work for royal
Mail. An absolute disgrace from the company and the union.

The reality there is that the last failed revision slides into the beginning of the next failed revision and therefore nothing will ever stop being a mess. Four months on we've still got missing frame labels, people taking loops off multiple different frames, and a re-sign that still hasn't completed. Granted we had Christmas, but then that'll happen annually too.
The machine stops.

Yes i saw this also. Feel terrible for the customers

Trouble is its all being blamed on Covid and not failed revisions. Our office only has a couple of with Covid but since the revision changes 50% of the deliveries fail to clear each day. :no no

I can see that once Covid no longer has an effect the blame will no doubt be cast on "those lazy postmen"
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........
