Cwu members v non members.
Anybidy know the percentage of members to non members. All I see is how useless and how non supportive they are on forums.Yes I have left due to Terry

A graph in the CWU accounts for 2020 shows there's about 187000 but then that obviously
includes BT and other telco's/businesses.
This is my guess but t'interweb says BT've got 93k employees, we've got 137k so that's about 230k employees in total.
I've not included 'private' telco's in these figs as I would have thought we and BT membership numbers are much greater than
theirs.
Let's take 10% off for ivory tower staff and managers who'll belong to Unite/CMA which leaves us with 207k
So 187/207 is 88% 'ish (assuming that the ratio of union to non-union is the similar in RM/PF/BT).
I would have thought the percentage would have been about 70-75% when I subtly ask people in the office but who knows?

They will not publish 2021 accounts until June 2022.

According to the December membership figures there are 111417 members and 17567 non members so 13% non members.
The range across the union is that London has just 9% non members to Scotland which has 18% non members.
Amongst the non members is a number of new recruits which came in before Christmas and FTCs who Royal Mail wanted to switch off before Christmas and the CWU stopped.
There will a new membership campaign in Branch’s in March to attempt to recruit the 13% non members as we approach the pay round and the changes which Royal Mail want as part of that deal.
