Unballoted industrial action: Invergordon Delivery Office

Post by POSTMAN »

We're very sorry to advise that staff at our Invergordon Delivery Office are participating in unballoted industrial action today, Wednesday 5 January.

As a result, deliveries in the IV17 and IV18 postcode areas are likely to be very limited today.

The Customer Service Point at Invergordon Delivery Office is currently closed - please see royalmail.com/services-near-you for details of normal opening hours.

We're sorry for any inconvenience caused by this action being taken by the Communications Workers Union (CWU) members.
We will return to regular service as soon as we can do so.

Kind regards,
Royal Mail Customer Services

Temporary worker let go without union agreement (presumably a flagrant disregard by management of agreed manning levels?)

We're pleased to advise that staff returned to work at Invergordon Delivery Office this morning, Thursday 6 January.

Deliveries should take place in all areas today. Due to mail on hand, you may notice an increase in the volume of mail delivered, and the time of delivery may be different to usual.

The Customer Service Point at Invergordon Delivery Office has re-opened, please see royalmail.com/services-near-you for details of normal opening hours.

We thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused by Wednesday's unballoted industrial action taken by members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU).
