A message from Dave Ward

Post by POSTMAN »

Taken from his video on Facebook

Hi everybody, today is a day where we would normally celebrate what we call postal workers day, and I want to start by recognising how difficult the situation has been for all of our members, for postal workers across the UK in the last couple of years, I think you've actually dealt with some incredible pressures.

And firstly, you deal with the pandemic whilst you're at work, but of course, you've also got the situation like everybody, we have to deal with it with our families when we're at home.

Secondly, I think the pressures of inadequate resources has been very telling, and through all of this our members keep going.

And thirdly, I think the company. have been unrealistic at times in what their expectations of what can be achieved in terms of change, while all these other pressures being faced.

so the union does recognise how difficult it is for you. and we are going to address these issues, and i know our representatives up and down the country. are focused on this going forward,

But it's also important that you see the fact that your reputation with the public with businesses has been enhanced through the efforts that you've put in.
And it's important that the company understands that you are their best asset.
And we've got to find a way now of dealing with change, that gives you a real voice over how changes are introduced locally.

And to continue to see if we can grow the business, but in a way that respects workload that is achievable for people, and that good terms and conditions continue, continue to be at the forefront of what we want as well.

So you know, we understand the difficulties but take some comfort in the fact that you've done a great job on behalf of everybody in the country. You're key workers that is recognised, and if there's a member of the public, and I'm sure there's lots of them watching this video today it's postal workers day and you need to go out your way and show your appreciation for your postal workers.

Thanks very much.

PS: Terry says, you've been absolutely outstanding, well done.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Still no acknowledgment that the revisions they supported are a massive failure that have completely shafted the workers.

Hello Team...this is your main man without a plan Dave "Shifty" Ward here

Me Simon and Terry are sitting next to a lovely fire while you hard working posties are getting shafted and bullied big time.
Keep it up as we have large salaries to collect off the sweat and backs of all your hard work.
Do not worry we will continue to ignore everything you say and make sure the share price is high.
Hello to all our customers who are not getting any mail and not getting the service they paid for - sorry about that maybe next Christmas.
We at CWU headquarters will continue to do everything in our power to ignore, shaft and screw you over every chance we get.

All hail our Glorious Leader The Master of the Universe

PS

Kim Jong-un The Supreme Leader of North Korea has got in touch asking for a few helpful pointers on how to screw over his people even more - he said even he could not screw over his people as much as we have ours.

No, Tel to his mates made a video last week and it was put up today on FB as well, the crux of it is what I put, amongst other, you know, things.
