Union rep

Post by notts1862 »

I'm standing for an assistant ir Union rep in my local office. Reason being I want our voices and concerns to be heard by a fresh strong opinionated person ie me.
Struggling at the moment on my speech.
Any ideas how to word it.
Cheers.

Tough to write a speech how you getting on?
Never had to make a speech per se but I have spoken to my guys at DO meetings, obviously I know/knew them well so it wasn't too hard to just spout off what was going on etc.
Perhaps just think of it a bit like that, you just spouting off, without the swearing and the screaming Downfall styley
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Just tell all your members a right load of bullshit and promises that you don't intend to keep, why change anything?
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

I'm f*ckin' sick of all the sh*t. :evil/mad A lot of the posties in my office are dropping out of the CWU, and I don't blame them. Our rep is a useless little prick who answers to our DOM, "How high?" whenever the DOM says, "Jump, little man!"

I wish we had another union to represent us, one with real balls. One where the union reps will fight like hell to support us because that's what our membership fees are for.

Obviously your rep's a piece of s**t. Have you went above him to get the area/div rep involved? Maybe get a few other like minds together on this.

Are you a Pie?

If you feel the need to make a speech, speak from your heart and ignore the inevitable lads who’ll take the mickey.
