Sorry, my bad...
Commercial Product & Proc Improvemnt Mgr at Royal Mail Group
I've had a number of queries asking if we continue to accept D2D during peak and over the upcoming Bank Holiday Weeks.
The simple answer is yes - Door to Door is to be delivered 52 weeks a year. The volumes reduce considerably in December – less than a quarter of normal volumes usually.
So please continue to do your best - this mail has been paid for and so needs to be delivered.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I got this horse shite straight from a horse's mouth:
Apparently D2D have the lowest weighting so it is all right to fail them because it has very little effect on the office efficiency.
Maybe someone should ask Simon if that is correct.

But it does get delivered eventually.
We have yorks and yorks of failed D2D sitting in the office going nowhere.
Do these companies receive any compensation? Does anyone honestly report the failures?

Two weeks ago we had 6, last week we had 6 and this week we have 6. Based on this persons maths I guess that next week we will have 6 because 6 is a quarter of 6.
AND IT ALL GOES STRAIGHT IN THE BIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reason: removed invective - "the Guy" is the CEO - is against the rules of RMC and not a good career move. https://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/community/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11169&start=15

Crikey! before I had IHR 5 years ago, I don't recall any door-to-dustbins after first week of December. They did peter out after the start of the month. To have 6 a week under Christmas pressure is bloody insane.

A ‘shred it’ van pops in our office each week to get rid of the undelivered leaflets
