Inaccessible

So in our office, we just seem to scan any tracked items that aren't attempted as inaccessible. Seems like an issue to me that would have an effect on failure reportings. Does this happen in anyone elses office?

It's called fraud. If this is done and it means a manager gets a higher bonus they are doing it to manipulate their figures.

Definitely happens in mine. PDA needs better options for non delivery, or customers will continue to think we are lazy (I've inaccessible'd things because I found tracked for someone else on my York and they'd already left, and because I'd gone well over my time and needed to get home)

People do get annoyed. I always tell them "oh I'm really sorry, it was my day off yesterday but when I get back to the depot I'll ask a manager what happened"

We do this with all tracked not attempted and all specials that are going to fail

Seems like quite a few. Our lats that haven't been covered have this week and after the weekend I scanned around 190 back in that had been scanned as inaccessible but no one seem arsed to be honest. So do we think it's quite common practice within RM? That will certainly be having an effect on the failure numbers

This happens at my DO, too.

On a heavy Sunday the standard working practice is "anything for addresses you can't find or have to bring back because you've run out of time, scan as inaccessible".

What about the customers that are home waiting for their parcels? Some are monitoring emails and texts - they can simple log on to track and trace; and they complain.

Some will be furious having made plans to stay home to receive items - not good form!

when tracked items 1st came out and 1st time delivery was a bonus to them, i heard that a dom in a nearby office told them to scan "safe place -delivered" and p739 it and fetch it back,
obviously no camera options then, and technically he was right as the d/o was a safe place

They need to be scanned as delivery not attempted, and a ready for delivery scan the next day

Glad to see it does happen in some, it's how it should be. I think it's just a work around of reporting failures and I just don't understand it. We've done it every peak time in our office since I started

I flagged it up with one of our gaffers this morning that some had been scanned back in as inaccessible. He went straight to the OPG to blame him as though we hadn't been doing this for years, they're happy to let people do it untill it's brought up and they might get blame

Hmm, I can hear the righteous indignation of the Wankplace AnonyDUMBS from here. "Baseless, fictitious accusations with no evidence!" they protest, too much.

I'll bet it would be only too easy to find the blocks of parcels rescanned as inaccessible if someone was to bother look through the scans.
