Its money for nothing months on end doing nothing and receiving it on hols too. You should get the money when you actually train someone and prob not on your own duty . Waste of company money . Sorry just my view on my office .

Makes financial sense but then not many would do it. The original brief was to train and be a mentor to new recruits but it never turned out that way most of the time.Chelseablue wrote: ↑05 Dec 2021, 09:40Its money for nothing months on end doing nothing and receiving it on hols too. Re: Work Place Coach money pensionable?
I don't think that's possible if you've already got a Workplace Coach Phil.
That's the point, it's given/allocated to a DOM Favourite and then it's a case of "Dead Man's Shoes". My DOM wasn't even aware they got paid until I told him (New DOM).
Who trains a Newbie on their Duty? Normally the Duty Holder ... NOT the Workplace Coach. I agree it's money for old rope.
Like all Wage Slaves, he had two crosses to bear: The people he worked for and the people he worked with! (Stephen Vizinczey.)

I was told that despite it being advertised as such if you're on the newer pension scheme you don't get it.

Re: Work Place Coach money pensionable?
If you're in the RMDCP administered by Scottish Widows, only basic pay plus any OT up to full time hours is pensionable.
Allowances that may be pensionable for RMPP members are not for RMDCP members!
