Handing in notice - how long notice period will i have to work ?

I'm part time , been in 2 years , how long notice period will i be expected to work after handing in my notice ?

I believe you would need to give a months notice, however how much of that notice you have to work is a different matter.

Used to be one weeks notice was sufficient, however i know newer contracts have a condition that you must give 4 weeks notice to resign.
Id check your contract , if you have it handy as im not sure of when the change was officially done.

I was told the other day that all contracts after 2017 are a month but before that a week.
