This may seem like a daft question but I'm sure I can't be the only one who doesn't know, but how is Terry Pullinger Deputy General Secretary elected ? and by whom? also what sort of time span is he elected for? final question is there some sort of mechanism where we, as members of the union can have some sort of vote of no confidence in him?
It seems, from all that has happened over the last few months that he has gone over to the "Dark side" If he's fighting for our best interests I'm confused because he's turning more like our current CEO than our current CEO!!

Five years ago I stood for election to become the Deputy General Secretary Postal and was successful. It seems like the blink of an eye but the job is up for election again and I am standing for a second term. Pictured is a photo from when I was delighted to be elected last time and the letter seeking nominations that I have sent to every postal branch today. Whatever happens next, it has been an honour and a privilege to be the leader of postal workers. Thanks for all the support.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

He went for re election but no one stood against him so he won 'unopposed' by default.
You would have to have someone/a branch possibly start a vote of no confidence to get the ball rolling and would no doubt need a ton of people to go with it.

Wouldn't worry to much, given the s€!t show that is going to be Xmas I think it will be a race in the New Year between Pullinger and Thompson of who will jump first.
