Number of parcels per hours

I’m on parcels from 1pm to 6:30pm this Xmas,
Last year was given 3-4 areas and was told it was 15 parcels per hour. Now being told this year 4-5 hours an expect 20 parcels per hour. What should it be per hour the amount that should be knocked off.

I go by 20 for a single walk, and lower it the more walks or distance you add. I did a very rural area once that took 30 minutes to drive to, I ended up doing 4 in that whole hour. Don't worry about focussing on numbers, just do your job and if you want overtime, that's up to you, if you don't whatever you can't do comes back.

Ive not managed 20 per hour so far in the last three weeks and no one has mentioned anything about a target number per hour? On Monday I did 90 odd parcels, 170 miles and including time spent travelling from the DO to the MC to collect them it took me 9hrs 20 mins.

Then you don't do overtime and you don't complete all your parcels...

Dont know? Im good for 12hr shifts every day though.

I’m not if I did a 12 hour shift I would finish at 1am

I can do 20 an hour comfortably . But. That's only because I did 20 years walking those streets and years of christmas packet duties. I know where every house is, what side of the road it is, where the sheds and coal houses are, where the kids live, how to organise them etc. If you're unfamiliar with the area then 20 an hour is a pipe dream. That's three minutes a parcel. All you can do is your best. Take the rest back.

Not unusual for me to have 20 mins travel between delivery points. I have no idea where any of the farms and places are so totally rely on the RON app and if i can get a signal google maps. If after 15 -20mins walking up and down and looking for the property I cant find it, i give up and it goes down as inaccessible. A couple of times i have phone the office and asked someone to look at the frame and tell me what properties are near it if theres a cluster, which has helped on a few.

One evening I did almost 50 miles just doing the last four on the manifest, could not have been further apart! Took me well over an hour

Should be scanned as Delivery Not Attempted.

Ideally, you should scan the ones you know you can do as ready for delivery before you go out so if you run out of time any you bring back won't require a scan. If you have time left, you can always scan a few more as ready for delivery.

How does that work with creating the manifest in the INDOOR tab and then uploading it to the CLOUD, before you download it into RON? I was under the impression that everything in the manifest was ready for delivery?

Use PDA RON app to scan parcels before heading out ,Optimisation will give you a return to base time.
If the return time is over your finish time then leave x amount at office.

I'm medically retired now (just since last October) but my office was very unique in it's make-up. We had 50 duties and about 35 were rural. The furthest point from the office was 37 miles. A couple of years ago the gaffer asked me to take two packets out that would take the LAT guy over his time. I did 93 miles and took me two and a half hours.
